Shri Hospital Daily Cash Benefit Insurance Coverage

Sickness Daily Hospital Cash Benefit

During the policy period, if the insured person is admitted to the hospital with any disease or illness diagnosed by a qualified medical practitioner advising for surgery, then the insurance company will pay the Shri Hospital Daily Cash amount mentioned in the schedule for each consecutive 24 hours of hospitalisation subject to a maximum number of days stated in the schedule

Deductible: 1-day deductible is applicable on every hospitalisation

Accident Hospital Cash Benefit

During the policy period, if the insured person gets admitted to a hospital due to an accidental injury on the advice of a doctor for surgery, then the insurance company will pay 2 times of Shri Hospital Daily Cash amount mentioned in the schedule for each consecutive 24 hours of hospitalisation subject to a maximum number of days stated in the policy schedule

Deductible: Not Applicable

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Benefit

During the policy period, if the insured person requires admission to ICU for the treatment of sickness/accident /injury, then the policy holder will receive 2.5 times of the Shri Hospital Daily Cash amount for each consecutive 24 hours, subject to maximum of 15 days per policy year

Deductible: 1-day deductible is applicable on every hospitalisation except accidental hospitalisation

Convalescence Benefit

If the insured person is hospitalised in India for the treatment of an illness/injury during the policy period and the continuation of such hospitalisation is medically necessary for at least 15 consecutive days, then the insurer will pay a lump sum amount equal to 5 times of the Shri Hospital Daily Cash Benefit amount specified in the policy schedule

For Individual Policy: This benefit is available only once during the policy tenure for per insured person

Child Birth Hospital Cash

During the policy period, if the insured person requires admission as an in-patient in any hospital in India for the purpose of child delivery, then the company will pay to the insured person Shri Hospital Daily Cash Benefit amount stated in the policy schedule subject to maximum number of days mentioned

Special Condition:

  • 1. The benefit under this cover is payable after a waiting period of 2 years from the date of addition of spouse in the policy subject to both self and spouse being covered

  • 2. This cover is available for a maximum of 2 children for a lifetime

Deductible: Not Applicable

Compassionate Benefit

If the insured person is hospitalised during the policy period due to an accidental injury and the insured person dies during the course of such hospitalisation, the policy holder’s nominee will receive a lump sum amount equal to 10 times of the Shri Hospital Daily Cash Benefit amount specified in the policy schedule. This benefit is payable in addition to the basic plan only if there is an admissible claim under the same policy
