Qualification:
B.Tech & MBA in Marketing from Premiere institutes only
Experience: Proven experience of at least 12+ years in the General Insurance industry, with a focus on marketing and branch operations.
Location – All State Capitals

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented professional to join our team as a State Head. This position will be responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of multiple branches as profit centre head within a designated region across India. The State Head will play a crucial role in achieving business objectives, ensuring effective operations, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
 

  1. Lead and manage the overall operations of multiple branches within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and targets.
  2. Develop and execute State level strategies and action plans to drive business growth, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets while maintaining the business portfolio hygiene.
  3. Provide leadership, and guidance to branch managers and their teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and customer-centricity.
  4. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales targets, customer acquisition, retention, claims management, and operational efficiency across the region.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, underwriting, product development, and customer service, to drive integrated initiatives and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  6. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs to enhance the capabilities of branch managers and their teams.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, agents, corporate clients, and channel partners, to maximize business opportunities and strengthen the company's market position.
  8. Monitor market trends, competitive activities within the region, providing timely insights and recommendations to senior management.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards across all branches within the region.
  10. Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management, highlighting the performance, challenges, and opportunities, and recommending strategies for improvement.
  11. Ensure effective manpower planning for the region and work with HR to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  12. Ensuring expansion of the branch network.
  13. Rewards and Recognition for channel partners.


About You
 
  1. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the general insurance industry, including market dynamics, products, distribution channels, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Excellent strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a track record of successfully driving business growth and expansion.
  4. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions and drive performance improvements.
  6. Experience in managing multiple branches or a large geographical territory is highly desirable.
  7. Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing P&L, and driving operational excellence.
  8. Strong computer knowledge – Proficient in data monitoring, analysis & representation using Microsoft Office tools.
  9. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
