Steps to Get Ayushman Bharat Health Account Number Online
Refer to the steps below to create Ayushman Bharat Health Account Number online.
- Step1: Enter your Aadhar card number for registration on the official NDHM website or through the ABHA mobile app.
- Step 2: Choose “Go to create my ABHA number” and select either Aadhaar, Driving Licence or PAN number to initiate the process.
- Step 3: Provide the OTP sent on registered mobile number for verification.
- Step 4: A 14-digit Digital Health Card or ABHA will be generated immediately.
- Step 5: The ABHA account is successfully created and ready for use.
Why do you need Ayushman Bharat Health Account Card?
It allows users to share their health records digitally with hospitals, clinics, insurance providers and others. Citizens can create their unique ABHA account without any cost.
You can initiate the request for ABHA number using PAN Card, however, you will only obtain an Enrolment Number on the portal. You will be required to carry your PAN Card to the nearest ABDM participating facility and get your identity verified by the facility staff to obtain the ABHA number.

Step 1: Visit the Ayushman Bharat official website 'pmjay.gov.in'.
Step 2: Click 'Menu' on the homepage.
Step 3: Select 'Beneficiary Identification System (BIS)' under the Portals section.
Step 4: Click 'Download Ayushman Card'.
Step 5: Select the option 'Aadhaar'.
